July 18 – 22 | Textile & Sewing Themed Workshop for Children & Teens taught by Roxanne Santos.
Camp participants will explore textile art in this sewing themed art camp! Campers will learn basic hand sewing techniques and stitches by creating their own fabric craft project. Campers ages 6 – 12 will create their own unique hand-sewn stuffed animal to take home, along with a variety of other sewing inspired crafts. Campers ages 13 – 17 will learn embroidery and sewing techniques as they create their own unique patches to accessorize their wardrobe, plus other embroidery projects!
This Summer Art Camp is taught by Roxanne Santos. Roxanne graduated from ULM in 2008. She is a Monroe City School teacher with 14 years of experience in the classroom. She currently teaches arts & crafts at MLK Junior High in Monroe. Roxanne is also a member of the Black Creatives Circle, a performance poet, and a vocalist.
Ages 8 – 12: 9:30 – 12:00 PM (CAMP IS FULL! REGISTRATION IS CLOSED!*)
Ages 13 – 17: 1:00 – 4:00 PM
Cost: $95 for Museum Members; $110 for Non-members
