Lisa Qualls grew up in Louisiana and has spent much of her adult life traveling across the South, between Texas and Florida, making many stops and meeting many people in-between. She is driven by curiosity and a desire to discover the new while uncovering the old. She is especially interested in identity and culture – these essential human elements that define individuals and develop groups. This exhibit features 22 of Lisa’s exquisite graphite portraits on a white clay board recently donated by the artist to the Masur Museum’s permanent collection.
