Taught by Alyssa Guidry, Curator of Education & Public Programs, Artist, and Holiday Enthusiast!
Who doesn’t love the holidays?! There’s so much to look forward to this time of year! Family, togetherness, food, and don’t forget giving and receiving gifts! Maybe not the gift wrapping part so much? Let us help this year! Learn to gift wrap like a professional with our Education Curator, Alyssa Guidry, Sunday, December 4th, 2022 from 1 – 4 PM at the Masur Museum or Art! Alyssa is an experienced gift wrapper from her days working in retail; a chore-turned-hobby that was hard to kick when she left. In this hands on workshop, you learn:
- Some tips to make wrapping boxes easier; even those oddly shaped ones!
- How to tie the most beautiful bows that won’t unravel when the tearing open begins!
- How to make simple Origami Gift Tags like: butterflies, doves, & more!
- How to create easy, reusable Origami Gift Boxes for those smaller presents or gift cards!
Workshop Cost: $55 Museum Members, $70 for Non-Members
The Masur Museum will provide sample boxes and limited selections of Holiday themed wrapping paper and ribbons for this workshop, plus handouts with visual instructions to help you wrap your gifts later at home. You may bring your presents and gift wrapping paper to get a head start on your gift wrapping, and turn a chore into a hobby this year too! We will not have enough supplies to provide you with paper to wrap your gifts, but we can provide hands-on help with your materials.
Please note: If you wish to bring gifts to wrap during the workshop, you must bring wrapping paper also, as supplies will be limited.
