The Masur Museum of Art is proud to present a collection of work made by Monroe children during artist Jason Byron Nelson’s spray paint and stencil hands-on demonstration at the MasurKids Street Art Fall Festival on September 17, 2022.
Children chose a stencil creature designed by the artist to transfer to a panel using an array of spray paint colors. They had the option to layer and add details to their designs with paint pens. Some children chose to work “free-style” without stencils in true “Street Art” fashion. These are some of the creative results from our fantastic, art-filled day at the Masur Museum.
PARENTS: If your child participated in the spray paint & stencil Demo on September 17, 2022, their artwork is available to be picked up at the Museum right now! Come by any time during our regular business hours and ask about them at the front desk.
The Masur Museum of Art offers a variety of outreach programs to our community at little to no cost. We are available by appointment to lead art activities or presentations about the museum to area schools, universities, community centers, civic groups or clubs, senior centers, other cultural centers, or youth groups such as the YMCA and scouting organizations.
