for the

Off the Wall Fundraiser

Friday, March 16, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.

The Twin City Art Foundation and the Masur Museum of Art are asking artists to help with our annual fundraiser. The Off-the-Wall Fundraiser will include a silent auction. Please consider contributing a work of art to this important cause!

Artist Guidelines for Off the Wall:

Up to two works per artist.

Work will be displayed in the museum’s Lower North and Lower South Galleries and will be sold at a silent auction during the party on March 16.

Artwork may be done in any medium chosen by the artist.

2 and 3 dimensional work is accepted.

2 dimensional works must be no larger than 20” x 30”, preferably unframed and able to be placed on the wall with no more than 4 magnetized push pins.

Although unframed work is strongly recommended and encouraged, framed work will be accepted.  If framed, the framed dimensions must be no larger than 20” x 30”. Artwork will be hung by the museum staff.

3 dimensional work must occupy no more than 4 cubic feet and weigh no more than 50 lbs. Please call the museum if you have questions.

Artwork must be labeled on the back with a minimum starting bid of no more than $100. The artist may also include a “Buy Now” price of the artist’s choice. For salability we suggest keeping this under $500.

50% of the proceeds will go to the artist, and 50% will go to the Masur Museum of Art. The artist may also choose to give 100% of the sales proceeds to the Masur. The money raised will help fund upcoming exhibitions, educational outreach, and educational programming for adults and children.

Each artist will receive one (1) admission ticket (which includes a raffle ticket for our Bon Voyage trip raffle) to the fundraiser. This has a $50 value. Any guest accompanying the artist must purchase a ticket or donate a work of art.

Artists who wish to participate must notify Jenny Burnham, Curator of Education and Public Programs, by March 2.

Work must be delivered to the Masur Museum, at 1400 South Grand Street, as early as Thursday, March 8 at 9:00 a.m. and no later than Monday, March 12 by 5:00 p.m. Early delivery is encouraged and appreciated.

During these delivery dates the museum hours for delivery of work are as follows: Thursday & Friday, 9 am – 5 p.m.; Saturday, noon – 5 p.m. and Monday, 9 am – 5 p.m.

If the artist is mailing artwork from out of town, they will be responsible for shipping to the Masur Museum of Art.  If the artwork does not sell, the Masur Museum of Art will pay return shipping.

For more information, or to sign up to participate in this fundraiser, please call (318) 329-2237 or e-mail jenny.burnham@ci.monroe.la.us.
