Events Overview

In addition to exhibitions and educational classes, the Masur Museum of Art offers an array of exciting events year round. A few of these events are described here. Additionally, the museum schedules lectures and gallery talks with each exhibition. For additional information and updates about future events, please like us on Facebook.

Half Hour Histories:

This fall we will introduce a new series called Half Hour Histories, in which our Director, Evelyn Stewart, and Curator, Benjamin Hickey, will speak about various art related topics. The talks will be fun, informative, and packed into a powerful thirty minute presentation! This is not your college art history class; you’ll gain all of the interesting information without any tests! This series of events is free and open to the public.

Off the Wall:

Each spring the museum presents Off the Wall, our annual fundraiser and one of Monroe’s most popular events. This party features live music, great food, and the region’s premier art auction with an excellent selection of affordable art by artists from our community and around the country. The evening also includes the ever popular Bon Voyage Trip Raffle.

The raffle is a trip to a destination of the winner’s choice: a $3,000 value! Proceeds from Off the Wall support exhibitions and educational programs at the Masur Museum of Art. This ticketed event is open to the public and is held at the Masur Museum.

pARTy 318:

We put the ART in pARTy! This series of free events for young professionals is presented twice a year and is sponsored by our friends at Marsala Beverage. This fun party features live music, local food trucks, beer, wine, door prizes, and more. This event is open to the public and is not to be missed!
